THIRD REACTION PAPER
(Second Period)
Describe
What I could notice in this slice of the lesson is
that students felt more comfortable with my class because they used to ask a
lot and also they participated in classes. Sometimes they spoke in Spanish
but they tried to express their ideas in English. On the other hand, the
teacher was paying attention in classes and she writes in her notebook
everything I wrote on the board. I felt more comfortable in my last class
because the environment was good. The arrangement of the classroom helped me
to control what the students were doing during the class. The materials I
used were the board and the book. This last time I did not incorporate other
kind of materials because of the practice I had to develop.

I started with a short warm up giving clear and
short directions. The students had fun and at the end of the warm up I gave
them a candy in order to make them feel more comfortable and have a break.
Then, I started with the practice about questions
and negative sentences using the present continuous. I think it is a good
option to know if students had understood the grammar explanation or not.
I think that as the topic I thought was not
something new for the students, they felt more comfortable and they could
develop the activities easily; however, they were always students who had problems
to understand.
I think that applying right activities will help the
students to learn accurately and will let the teacher to feel more
comfortable because the students will learn easily.

Based on what I already about motivating the
students, I think that giving them some rewards or gift to motivate them and
make them feel comfortable in classes. Moreover, it will motivate the
students to participate in classes.
Based on what I observed, I think that students
generally learn and make the practice if the grammar explanation is
understandable and the practice is accurately.
I believe that teaching a topic accurately will let
the teacher to have more time to practice it and to help the students who
have problems to understand.
I believe that choosing the right activities will
help a lot to be an understandable class and the teacher and students will
win.

So, in the future, I will continue motivating the
students, and also I will find new ways and techniques for not to have a
routine of motivation because then they will get bored of the same.
In future lessons I will look for more methods to
teach the students in an easy way to make them feel more comfortable with the
practice. Moreover, I will try to transmit self-confidence to get the
students feel free to ask question or doubt.
The next time I teach this lesson; I will be sure of
choosing the right activities according with the level and with the topic.
In future experiences I will also include more practice
to be sure that the topic has been understandable.

Hello, velkis I really good how you developed your class, and it was good to hear that the classroom seating arrangement helped you to monitor your students. On the other hand, I think that giving rewards to students is a really good idea but be careful with that because if you do it all the time they get used to it
