In the slice of the lesson I could notice that the causatives verbs were a topic really difficult since I saw that the students were confused. I heard the answers to my questions about the topic and the students made some mistakes, but it was because they had many doubts about the topic. The students were doing not only exercises to understand the right form to use the causative verbs, but also dynamics to feedback their knowledge. While I were helping them to explain some doubts they had about the topic, the environment was great because students were interested to learn the way to use the causative verbs. The arrangement of the classroom was good because it was big and I had many space to develop the activities, but to explain better the activities, I used photocopies to practice the right form to write sentences using the causative verbs, I also used the board to write some examples of the topic. The photocopies and the board helped the students to understand better the topic.

I would like to keep on working in the material I presented in class because it is very interesting; moreover, I can make a funny class put into practice the topic and the students will learn a lot, and at the same time they are not going to get bored. The most interesting thing about the topic is that students can learn in an easy way, and I can make a funny class. The next time I teach this lesson I would like to put into practice the lesson planning I presented today, the lesson planning was long, but it has many options to learn the causatives verbs without complications.

TEACHING ACROSS PROFICIENCY LEVELS.

Talking about proficiency levels refer how to teach in different levels like basic, intermediate, and advanced level. So, to teach a different level it is necessary to apply the correct the right rules to teach them correctly.

TEACHING BEGINNING LEVELS:

Teaching beginners is a weak level where the students have little or not knowledge about the target language. the students are able to ask questions and tell some phrases. So, the teacer has to be patient and to use techniques to teach them. In the case of teaching beginners the teacher is the center of attention; so, the teacher needs to talk clear, slowly and use a simple vocabulary.

TEACHING INTERMEDIATE LEVELS:

In this level, the students have learned more about the target language; So, the teacher can give them topics for discussion, make groups, or even work with the whole class. When the students are in the intermediate level, they can speak with fluency although they make mistakes, but they try to do the best.

TEACHING ADVANCED LEVELS:

In the case of the advanced students, they are able to talk with a lot of fluency, they can manage situations, they are able to understand and speak English, and also writting essays, discuss about important topic. The students of this level are nearer to fulfill their objectives since they are in the top of their language levels.

TEACHING ACROSS AGE LEVELS

As everyone knows, teachers not only teach children but adults, and teens too. Depending of the age, the teacher has to improve with the target language since he has to know teach children, teens or adults are not the same thing. So, the teacher does not have to use the same disciplines, rules, and techniques to teach them because each level is very different, and each person learns in a differernt way.

TEACHING CHILDREN:

Children exercise a good deal of both cognitive and affective effort in order to internalize both native and second languages. However, they do not have clear objectives about something they want to achieve, they are irresponsible, they do not have experience about life, sometimes they do not care about their grades, and maybe they are motivated by the long-term study. So, the teacher's task is to keep them motivated, and thus stimulate their attention spans, sensory inputs, affective factors and the authentic meaningful language.

TEACHING ADULTS:

Teaching adults is very different since it must start according to the culture, and the knowledge they have. The teacher has to take into consideration that adults are mature; so, the teacher has to treat them like adults not like children. Moreover, adults have clear objectives, they are very responsible, they have a lot of experience about life, and they are motivated by the short-term study. So, the teacher has to look for the good way to work with them.

TEACHING TEENS:

In the case of teaching teens, the teacher has to take into consideration that in that age, they are changing, that is mean they are changing from children to mature people. So, the teacher has to motivete them to be active in the classroom and to learn the target language. However, they are able to abstract operational thought, and to increase capacities for abstraction lesson.

SILENT WAY ACTIVITY

WHAT I LIKED FROM MY PRESENTATION?
What I liked from my presentation was to present something new. This activity is based on the idea to learn grammar rules and new vocabulary. Another thing that I really liked was that the students had to payed attention to the activity because they did not know anything about that, and also because it is kind of strange; however, this activity is a method only used with beginners.

WHAT I COULD HAVE IMPROVED?
I think that I could have improved the explanation of the topic, since at the beginnig the students did not understand the activity , but it was because this activity is confused due the context. And I do not know if the students got bored because they had to repeat the same thing many times.
Also I could have improved the examples of the activity because I could notice that even the teacher get confused, and I did not feel comfortable because of that.

DID YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE?
To be honest, I did not feel comfortable because my activity was very confused, and maybe some students did not understand at all. At the beginning I did not want to present that activity because it was confused for me, too. But at the end I decided to present it because I wanted that everyone learned something new.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES MY OTHER CLASSMATES PRESENTED?
I think that the activities my other classmates presented were very interesting, since they teached us the repetition, and I think the repetition helps us to memorize new words, and we learn grammar rules. Also when a student makes a mistake with a word, the teacher help him to pronounce it correctly. So, the activities were very interesting for me.

If you still have some doubts of my activity, this is a video that you can watch.

SILENT WAY

What I liked from my method?

The things that I really liked from this topic is that the teacher promotes independence, autonomy and responsibility in the students; so, the students have to investigate and try to discover new things according to the objectives they have. In this method, the students make a bigger effort because they have to do all the things that the teacher doesn't do, and they have to study very hard if they want to learn a new language, the students work with their own resources just for being the responsibles for their learning. When the teacher use the Silent Way,  the students tend to value more the study, because they see it in a different way, since they have to make the best if they want to  learn a foreign language.

Another thing that I liked is that the silent way helps in language classes to use the logical part, since they learn a lot of grammar, and that ensures logical learning of the language. The teacher encourage students to produce as many statements as possible; however, it will depend on the students if they make a good use of it or not; so, the students must be aware in the educational activity and they have to pay attention, since the student's attention is the key to good learning.

What I didn't like from my method?

There are some things that I did not like from this topic, because it is based on the idea that the teacher keeps as quiet as possible in class, the teacher doesn’t support, and he doesn’t thrill with the good or bad errors. So, what does the teacher do? Maybe, The teacher only has the role to guide them in that process, and the learning will depend on each student if he/she wants to learn or not; for that reason, the teacher is not the center of attention.

Silent Way could be a good option to promote independence, autonomy and responsibility in the students; however, In the advanced levels is not very effective, since it faces difficulties having fulfilled the task of teaching the language, and it could become in a barrier to learning. The thing is that if the student does not have a will, he/she is not going to learn, because he/she is not going to be indepence and responsible, and maybe he/she won't want to learn by himself/herself.

What I understood from the other methods?

Audio-lingual Method:
I understood that this method develop pronounciation, and listening comprehension, and it is like the Direct Method, because they want to develop a good command of oral, and auditory language. Also places emphasis on helping students to use the target language and gives importance to learning. Its main goal is to help students to create meaningful phrases rather than helping to build grammatical structures, or achieve perfect pronunciation.

Direct Method:
I understood that this method is based on the idea that the students develop a good knowledge on the pronounciation of the words. This method teach vocabulary through objects, mime, and other visual elements and materials. It focuses on oral learning, because they work through questions and answers from teachers to students, and then between the students. It is an interesting method, because the students develop a good pronounciation.

My Favorite Quote

I really like the quote: Teaching is the profession that teaches all of the other professions, because it refers that if teachers didn't exist there were not professionals in our world, and it is very important that a person can transmit us their knowledge about the things that we want to learn; for example: if a person wants to be a Doctor, he/she needs to know a lot about medicine, and a teacher has to teach us that.

Teaching is a profession that a person has to learn very well, because he/she has to know how to teach and how to explain a class. A person that doesn't know anything about how to give a class is going to fail, bacause the students are not going to learn so much, and they not going to understand; so, it's very important to have a person that know that things, and a person that can transmit us the information he/she knows.

When we talk about teach, there are some people that descrimine the teachers, because they think that it is an easy profession, and they believe that everyone can do that job, but it is wrong. To teach is a hard work, because the teacher has to do many things if he/she wants that the students learn the things that he/she is trying to teach them; also, the teacher has to check some evaluations to know if the students have learned.

Thank the teachers we can read, write, speak English, and we have learned many things about our major; thank the teachers we can finish our major, and we are going to be professionals. In the future we are going to give them the thanks for their help.

After I have finished my major, I want to be a teacher, because I want to help people to be professional, too. Teach is one of the most difficult professions that I know, and for that reason we have to thank the teachers.

NATURAL DISASTERS.

This topic is very interesting because it is something that happens in our world, and there is no way to prevent it; however people can put into practice some measurements.

What are some examples of natural disasters?

for example floods, tsunami, tornadoes, hurricanes and cyclones, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, heat waves and droughts, wild fires, landslides, blizzards, ice storms and avalanches.

We know that natural disasters are dangerous and bring a lot of negative consequences to our society, nevertheless we must learn how to deal with them; however, The best prevention we can do is to use our natural resources carefully and judiciously, build our homes and other structures the best we can, to withstand as much as possible and stop being so bloody arrogant as to think we have more power than NATURE.

What we should do when facing a natural disaster?

One of the things that you can do to prepare for the unexpected, such as assembling a supply kit and developing a family emergency plan, are the same for all types of hazards. However each emergency is unique and knowing the actions to take for each threat will impact the specific decisions and preparations you make. By learning about these specific threats, you are preparing yourself to react in an emergency.
